I'm not an accountant. I'm an entrepreneur on my third business, and for the first two (retail products I designed, had manufactured, and sell) I was also the bookkeeper for seven years, the way most small-business owners are: reluctantly, at night, with a folder of receipts and a browser tab full of CRA pages.

TALISK_HQ is the tool I wanted during those years: bookkeeping that starts from your inbox and your sales channels, keeps the books clean as you go, and hands your accountant something they don't have to untangle.

How these answers are written

Every answer in this library is written from how TALISK_HQ actually works and, where a tax rule is involved, checked against the Canada Revenue Agency or Revenu Québec source linked on the page, with the date we last verified it. A dated citation only means something if something forces it to be checked again, so the library flags its own tax answers for re-verification once the date gets old.

What I don't do

I don't give tax advice. Where a page touches a judgment call, it says so and points you to your accountant, because that is who should make it. The answers tell you how the rule works and how to do the thing in the software. What the rule means for your business is a different question, and it belongs to someone who knows your whole position.
