Import your data from QuickBooks

Open this in Talisk HQ

To move your QuickBooks records into Talisk:

  1. Go to Ledger › Accounting › QB Import.
  2. Export each list from QuickBooks as a CSV and upload it in the matching section: Clients, Vendors, Invoices, Bills, Journal Entries, Payments Received, Bill Payments. Each section lists the columns it expects.
  3. Follow the recommended order (chart of accounts first, then the lists), and each upload reports how many rows imported, skipped, or errored.

This tab imports lists: your customers, suppliers, and history. It's a different job from entering your starting balances: for a trial balance and opening balances, use the Import from Books button on the Opening Balances or Chart of Accounts screen.

Good to know: The QB Import tab brings in lists (clients, vendors, invoices, bills, journal entries, payments) from CSV files: it is not where you set your starting balances. For a trial balance and opening balances, use Import from Books on the Opening Balances or Chart of Accounts screen instead.
