Import your data from QuickBooks
To move your QuickBooks records into Talisk:
- Go to Ledger › Accounting › QB Import.
- Export each list from QuickBooks as a CSV and upload it in the matching section: Clients, Vendors, Invoices, Bills, Journal Entries, Payments Received, Bill Payments. Each section lists the columns it expects.
- Follow the recommended order (chart of accounts first, then the lists), and each upload reports how many rows imported, skipped, or errored.
This tab imports lists: your customers, suppliers, and history. It's a different job from entering your starting balances: for a trial balance and opening balances, use the Import from Books button on the Opening Balances or Chart of Accounts screen.
Good to know: The QB Import tab brings in lists (clients, vendors, invoices, bills, journal
entries, payments) from CSV files: it is not where you set your starting
balances. For a trial balance and opening balances, use Import from Books on the
Opening Balances or Chart of Accounts screen instead.
