Notes and photos on a job
Some things are worth writing down while you are standing there. The meter reading. Which wall was already wet before you started. What the customer actually asked for, in their words.
Open a job on your phone and you will see Photo and Note beside Hours, Receipt and Mileage. Both save straight to that job.
Adding one
Tap Note, type what happened, and save.
Tap Photo to take one with the camera or pick one from your camera roll. You can add a few words with it, which is usually worth doing. "Before we started" turns a picture into evidence.
Everything you add shows under Notes and photos on the job, newest first.
If you are somewhere with no signal
Save it anyway. TALISK_HQ keeps it on your phone and sends it the moment you have a connection again, the same as hours, mileage and receipts. You do not have to remember to come back to it.
A note is not a receipt
This is the one thing worth being clear about. A note or a photo is a record of what happened; it never becomes a cost, never lands on an invoice, and never changes your books. If you are photographing something you PAID for, use Receipt instead. That is the one that reads the amount and turns it into a bill.
Photographing the receipt as a note is not wrong, it just does not do anything with the money.
Removing one
Open the job, find it in the timeline, and choose Delete. It goes immediately and does not go to a bin.
Who can see them
The same people who can see the job. A note belongs to one set of books, and a bookkeeper you have invited into a different set never sees it.
Your notes are encrypted, which has one consequence worth knowing: you cannot search inside them. TALISK_HQ cannot read them either, which is the point.
