See who the business owes
People balances shows what the business currently owes each person: money they've spent out of pocket or lent in.
- Go to Ledger › Expenses (the Bills list).
- Expand the Reimbursements section.
Each person shows their balance across their linked accounts (shareholder loan or reimbursement payable); a positive amount means the business owes them. Click View statement to see every entry, newest first, with a running balance.
The section appears once someone has a personally-paid bill or a linked balance account. To link an existing loan or payable account to a person, open the book under Ledger › Setup, edit it, and use the team-members panel there: that's separate from this view.
Good to know: People balances is a section inside the Bills list (expand Reimbursements), not
its own tab, and it only appears once someone has a personally-paid bill or a
linked loan account. Linking an existing account to a person is done separately,
in the book's team-members editor under Setup.
