Attach a file from your phone

Attaching

In the composer, tap Attach a file. Your phone offers its camera, its photo library and its files, so you can take a photo of something on site or send one you took earlier.

Each file is listed with its size, and the line underneath shows the total. That is there because photos are large: three from a modern phone can be over 20 MB, and email providers usually refuse a message above about 25 MB. TALISK_HQ does not stop you, because your provider is the one that decides. If a message is refused, take the photos out and send them in two.

Tap the × beside a file to take it off.

If the app closes before you send

TALISK_HQ keeps what you typed. It does not keep the files. They live on your phone, not in the saved draft.

If the draft is recovered from your phone's own copy, TALISK_HQ tells you how many files were attached and asks you to attach them again. If the draft comes back from the server instead, which is the usual case when you were online, it knows the text but not that anything was attached, so nothing is said. Either way the files are gone, so check the message before you send it: it is easy to send "see attached" with nothing attached.

The other things you can do with an email

Open an email and tap More.

Look for a bill or receipt hands the email to TALISK_HQ to read. If it finds one, the bill appears in Bills and receipts waiting for you to check it. Nothing is recorded in your books until you approve it there.

If you keep books for more than one business, TALISK_HQ tells you which set the bill is going to before it starts, because that is decided by the mailbox the email arrived in rather than by the books you happen to have open.

Snooze hides the email until the time you pick and brings it back then.

Move to folder puts the conversation in another folder. It moves every message in that conversation, the same way Archive does.
