Move mail to a folder
You can file a message into one of your mailbox's folders without leaving TALISK_HQ. On an Outlook or Microsoft 365 mailbox it moves the message into that Outlook folder; on a Gmail mailbox it applies that Gmail label and takes the message out of the inbox, which is exactly what "Move to" does in Gmail itself. Either way, your mailbox and TALISK_HQ agree afterwards.
Move one message
- Hover a message in the list and click the folder icon (Move to folder), or open the message and click the same icon in the toolbar next to Archive.
- Start typing to find the folder, then click it.
The message leaves the inbox and appears under that folder in the sidebar (the Folders section on Outlook, Labels on Gmail). It keeps its unread state: filing is not reading.
Moving a message moves the whole conversation, the same way Archive does.
Create a folder while you move
Type a name that does not match any existing folder and the picker offers Create folder "..." (or Create label "..." on Gmail). Click it: the folder is created in your mailbox, the message is moved into it, and it shows in the sidebar straight away. Outlook folders are created at the top level.
Undo
A move gets the same undo window as Archive and Delete: a toast with Undo appears for as long as your undo delay is set (Settings, Email, Undo Delay). Click it to keep the message where it was. If you set the delay to Off, the move happens immediately.
You can also move a message that is already filed or archived: the same folder icon appears on those rows.
What is not here
Trash and Junk are not in the picker. Use Delete and Report Spam for those: they are different actions with different consequences. TALISK_HQ also does not rename or delete folders; do that in Outlook or Gmail, and the sidebar follows on the next refresh.
