Enter your accountant's year-end adjustments

Open this in Talisk HQ

When your accountant sends back adjusting entries at year-end (depreciation, accruals, reclassifications) enter them here:

  1. Go to Ledger › Accounting › Year-End.
  2. Set the Fiscal year end, then under Add an adjusting entry enter the memo and the debit/credit lines, and click Post entry. Repeat for each.
  3. Review the Trial-balance movement and the resulting net income, then Lock the year when you're done.

Adjustments post into an open fiscal year and must balance. If the year is already locked, reopen it from Period Lock first. Locking the year here uses the same period lock, freezing everything on or before the year-end date.

This screen is for the business owner or a full-access bookkeeper.

Good to know: Adjusting entries post into an open fiscal year only (a locked year has to be reopened first) and each must balance. This screen is full-access only; view- and edit-only bookkeepers can't post here.
