how do I hand my books to my accountant at year end

Talisk is built to feed your accountant rather than replace them, so handover is a deliberate feature and not an afterthought.

At year end you can produce a handover pack with the reports they'll ask for: profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, and your sales-tax worksheets, plus a CSV export of the underlying transactions if they want to import them into their own tools.

Because everything in Talisk derives from a real double-entry general ledger, the numbers tie out: the reports agree with the transactions behind them, and the documents are attached to the entries they belong to. That's the difference between handing over books and handing over a shoebox.

Your accountant still does the judgment work: year-end adjusting entries, depreciation, the filing itself. Talisk's job is to make sure the year they're working from is complete and accurate before they start, which is where most of the billable hours normally go.
