how do I reconcile my Shopify payout to my bank deposit
Talisk does this for you. When a payout syncs, it's posted to your books with its gross sales, tax, fees and refunds broken out: then automatically matched to the matching deposit on your bank feed when that deposit arrives.
You can see the state of every payout under Ecommerce › Payouts, filtered by source and by whether it's been reconciled. Matched payouts show a Matched pill; ones still waiting for the deposit show Open. If Talisk pairs the wrong two, you can unmatch and redo it.
The reason this is worth automating: a payout and its bank deposit are the same money described two different ways, so reconciling them by hand means re-deriving fees and refunds from a settlement report every time. Once the payout is posted and matched, your cash balance and your revenue both tie out without that work.
