How do I record ecommerce sales that were paid outside a payout

When an order is paid outside a connected processor (cash, e-transfer, or cheque), TALISK_HQ still recognizes the sale automatically as it syncs, booking revenue and tax into an undeposited-funds holding account. Your only job is linking each externally paid order to the bank deposit that actually arrived.

How to match a deposit.

  1. Go to Externally Paid in the sidebar.
  2. In the Awaiting deposit list, click Match on an order, or Run Matching to auto-pair what TALISK_HQ can.
  3. In Match to bank deposits, tick the deposit(s) that covered it and click Confirm settlement.

One deposit can cover several orders, and a small over or short amount can be written off.

What to expect. There's no "book" button: recognition happens on sync, so you're only ever confirming the deposit. It's CAD-only, and refunded or foreign orders are handled separately, listed under Needs review rather than matched automatically. This is the same net-settlement idea behind a Shopify payout reconciling to your bank.
